Barcelona 23-24th November 2016
Around 350 participants from 19 countries joined the EIT Health Summit on 23 and 24 November 2016 in Barcelona. During the meeting, participants enjoyed networking opportunities and the chance to learn more about EIT Health activities and involvement opportunities.
A highlight of the event was the Business Plan Aggregator Competition. 21 start-ups pitched their business ideas in front of a large audience and a jury consisting of European investors and professionals. These “best of the best” start-ups had been pre-selected at a meeting in Heidelberg in August. Peptomyc won 3rd prize and 4533 euros in the Biotech category.
The Business Plan Aggregator is a competition that seeks to champion healthcare innovation by identifying and supporting Europe’s most promising Spin-offs and Start-ups in the medical field. It is part of the EIT Health Accelerator Programme and assists in the development of healthcare innovation.
