A panel of experts and investors chose the 9 business projects – tech and biotech start-ups – that they believe are most likely to be the first Catalan unicorn. The term is used to describe a start-up that attains a valuation of 1 billion dollars. Very few projects reach this level and so far none from Catalunya has done so, but according to L’Econòmic the wealth of talent and good ideas that exist here mean that it will not be much longer before it happens. Selection by this panel of expert judges shows that Peptomyc is in the vanguard of Catalan start-ups with the potential for such success.
